You are going to love math! We are using an online math program called Zearn. All our lessons each day begin with whole group instruction, which includes fluency activities and a word problem. One recent fluency activity was to count by 3s to 30, and then to count backwards by 3s. Next, the class is split into 2 groups. One group works independently on their Chromebooks, while the other group gets small group instruction on the day's lesson. Thank you so much for bringing the headphones to school. They are needed everyday.
When a lesson is completed on a digital lesson, students complete an exit ticket. On the left is a sample exit ticket. Also, students use the Zearn workbooks when they work independently. The picture of the Zearn notebook on the left has a sticky note over the student's login information to Zearn. You can also find the login information to Zearn in your assignment notebook. Great job in math class, Zearners! |
